Two octavo volumes. viii, 204; viii, 203 pages. Fine engraved portraits of each subject. Early maroon leather spines over marbled paper boards. Bindings worn, with tape repairs. Gutter repair to prelims in volume one. Paper repair to page 15 of volume one. Light occasional foxing. Very good. A rare work that includes engraved portraits and biographies on a number of unusual personalities in early 19th-century Britain.

    More Information: Engraved title page to a similar work dated 1821 laid in to the rear of volume I. Several pages of The Gentleman's Magazine for 1750 laid in to the rear of volume II.
