Six tinted lithographed plates. Publisher's green cloth with floral vignette stamped in gilt on the front board and titles in gilt on the spine. Boards worn and damp stained. Contents toned with some occasional scattered foxing, else very good and rare in any condition. A scarce privately printed volume of American fiction. All of the tales and anecdotes have a Long Island background. Garrett (also spelled Garrit) Furman was also the author of two volumes of early Long Island verse - Rural Hours and Maspeth Poems.
