Two octavo volumes, both uniformly and beautifully bound by Hayday in a green morocco double-ruled in gilt with vignettes of Greek vases on the front covers. Gilt-tooled compartments on spines, with five raised bands. Inner dentelles. All edges gilt.
Some rubbing to corners, hinges and spine ends. Mild offsetting to endpapers. Scattered foxing throughout textblock. Pencil notations to verso of FFEP of Italy. Contemporary bookplates of John Hopton. A very good set.
