    [Fore-edge Painting]. Gilbert Burns, editor. The Poetical Works of Robert Burns. London: Printed for John Bumpus, et al, 1822. Two volumes. Contemporary bindings. Rubbing and some wear to extremities. Gilt borders on covers and gilt titles on spines. Textblock of Volume II disbound, binding present with head of spine starting; crease on pp. 13-14. Hinges cracked in Volume I; front free endpaper and frontis shaken. Ink ownership signatures on front endpapers. Very good internally, good candidates for re-binding.
