Five octavo volumes from the "Moxon's Popular Poets" series, each edited and with a critical memoir by William Michael Rossetti. Featuring Rossetti's Lives of Famous Poets, inscribed by "W.M. Rossetti/ April/ 99", and the works of William Wordsworth, Thomas Moore, Martin F. Tupper, and Edward Young. Red, green, and blue bindings. Publisher's cloth covered boards with beveled edges, elaborately embossed in black and gold with oval harpist design; titles on front cover and spine, all edges gilt. Bookplate. Bindings rubbed and lightly soiled, edge wear and small corner bumps, color fade, few small tears and chips at head and foot of spines. Rossetti's Lives with a vertical crease down the spine. Inscriptions, occasional holograph annotations, few over-opened pages, light foxing and occasional minor soiling. Overall, very good condition.
