[Edgar Allan Poe]. Siope. A Fable. In the manner of the Psychological Autobiographies. [In The Baltimore Book, A Christmas and New Year's Present.] Baltimore: Bayly and Burns, 1838. First edition. Octavo. 296 pages. Engraved presentation leaf, frontispiece, vignette title-page, and three additional inserted plates. Publisher's black leather, spine decoratively stamped and lettered in gilt, boards with decorative blind-stamping and gilt vignettes; all text block edges trimmed and gilt; much later endpapers. Binding rather worn and scuffed, with evidence of possible repairs to joints; corners of boards gently tapped and peeking through cloth at corners. Text block a bit rippled and worn from handling; majority of edge gilding worn away; foxing and discoloration throughout. Good. Housed in custom clamshell.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
