Thackeray. Denis Duval. London: Smith, Elder and Co., 1867. Both books half bound in leather over marbled paper covered boards, gilt decorations and titles on spine, upper edge gilt, and marbled endpapers. Illustrated bookplates of "John A Spoor" on both front pastedowns. Bindings rubbed, The Village on the Cliff lightly color faded, small tear with minor leather loss in its front joint; few holograph pencil bookseller's notes on versos of endpapers, small chip in front free endpaper of Denis Duval, occasional minor smudges or stains, else in very good condition.
