Gilt outer edges and inner dentelles with marbled endpapers. Some rubbing to boards and discoloration to spine Bookplate to front pastedown with ownership signature on title. Scattered foxing throughout. Very good.
Alfred Tennyson wrote these poems in conjunction with his brother Frederick when they were between the ages of fifteen and eighteen years old. This volume contains original advertisements dated 1827 verifying this fact. Of the poems in this book, about one-third were identified as being by Alfred, this being noted in the second edition published in 1893.
