    Zane Grey. Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon. New York: Grosset & Dunlap, [1924]. Reprint. With a signed check by Zane Grey tipped onto the verso of the front free endpaper. Additionally this copy is inscribed by Grey's secretary (and alleged mistress) Mildred K. Smith.

    Check is dated October 16, 1926 and is written to J. Mahoney for $50.00 and is drawn on an account at the Pacific-Southwest Trust & Savings Bank. Smith's inscription is on the recto of the front free endpaper: "To/Bill wishing you a/Merry Xmas for 1928/From Mildred". Octavo. [xii], [192], [6, ads] pages. With photographic plates throughout. Publisher's full orange cloth, front cover and spine decoratively stamped and lettered in black, dust jacket. Jacket spine browned and moderately worn, some rubbing and intermittent wear and a few short tears to jacket, minor rubbing to binding. Overall, a very good copy.
