Woody Guthrie's Depression-Era Classic in the Rare Dust Jacket

Woody Guthrie. Bound for Glory. Illustrated with Sketches by the Author. New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1943.

First edition. Octavo. 428 pages. Inserted photographic frontispiece.

Publisher's black cloth with gilt spine titles and front cover illustration. In the original pictorial dust jacket. Minor edge wear to boards. Moderate fading to the gilt stamping. A few tiny spots to the boards. A very clean text block. Top edge dusty. Some loss to the dust jacket edges, mostly along the top edge, flap folds and corners. Short, mostly closed tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel. A very good copy in a somewhat tattered, but very scarce, unrestored, original dust jacket, which is rarely seen with this title.

Today I received the catalog which is a work of art unto itself. When I found my lot I was literally blown away by what Craig had done with the presentation....... quite amazing to say the least!
