    William S. Burroughs. The Naked Lunch. Paris: The Olympia Press, [1959]. The true first edition. Inscribed by Burroughs on the title-page: "For Prof. Don/Kaufmann/all the best for/1977/William Burroughs." First issue of title-page (with green floral border), second state wrappers with the printed price of "Francs: 1.500" covered by an inkstamp for the new price on the rear wrapper and a new price sticker on the rear jacket flap. Mass market paperback. Publisher's printed green wrappers, dust jacket. Jacket spine barely toned, some very minor rubbing to jacket and binding, first leaf neatly clipped at upper corner. A fine, square, tight copy. From the collection of Donald Kaufmann.
