    William Golding. Lord of the Flies. London: Faber and Faber, [1954]. First edition. Octavo. 248 pages. Publisher's red cloth, spine lettered in white; spine a little cocked and moderately sunned, some lettering worn, small tear in cloth at head of spine, corners just bumped, a pull to cloth on front board, top of boards a little sunned, small ink stain to front board, dampstain to back board, other minor stains and scratches. Cream colored endpapers, all edges trimmed; top edge of text block toned, some minor foxing to endpapers, ink stains and pen impressions to front free endpaper. Internally quite clean and bright with only a minor occasional spot. Overall a very good book in a facsimile dust jacket.
