Publisher's black cloth, lettered and ruled in red on front cover and spine. Top edge stained red. Original black and red striped dust jacket designed by Arthur Hawkins (corners clipped, as is common). Backstrip rubbed at edges; some rubbing, bumping to board edges; some light scuffing to upper edge of text block. Dust jacket spine panel dulled; crown chipped, with some loss to text; some rubbing and occasional edgewear and mild chipping to jacket at edges and flaps. Very good. Faulkner's third novel, the first of his Yoknapatawpha County novels. Peterson A4.
