    William Faulkner. Mosquitoes. New York: Boni and Liveright, 1927. First edition. Octavo (7.25 x 5.125 inches; 185 x 130 mm.). 349, [1, blank] pages. Publisher's dark blue cloth, spine and front board lettered in yellow  with publisher's device stamped in blind on the spine; in restored dust jacket. Spine slightly darkened; shelfwear to edges, particularly to spine ends; shallow divot to top edge near spine; small (approximately one-quarter inch) raised bump that is rubbed. Front free endpaper torn, approximately one and one-half inch with resulting creases; previous owner's signature at front free endpaper; endpapers cracking at both hinges. Dust jacket extensively restored; reinforced at folds; extensive reconstruction of the spine panel with most text replaced in manuscript facsimile; edges refreshed; rear panel rubbed; touches of soil overall. Very good in a restored jacket.
