Signed Limited Edition of Virginia Woolf's Street Haunting

Virginia Woolf. Street Haunting. San Francisco: The Westgate Press, 1930.

One of 500 signed limited copies, of which this is number 98. Signed by the author in her usual purple ink. 35 pages.

Publisher's quarter bound leather with patterned paper over boards. Gilt spine titles with two raised bands. Boards bowed inward somewhat. Head and tail of leather spine rubbed. Spine itself toned with small stains. Some pages unopened. Text clean. Housed in a toned cardboard slipcase with splitting rear seams. Generally very good.

"That is true: to escape is the greatest of pleasures; street haunting in winter the greatest of adventures. [...] And here -- let us examine it tenderly, let us touch it with reverence -- is the only spoil we have retrieved from all the treasures of the city, a lead pencil."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
