"I do not love life, despite my guilty claims that I do." - Tennessee Williams

Tennessee Williams (1911-1983, American Playwright and Author). Typed Letter Signed. [New Orleans, 24 Jan 1972, from accompanying envelope]. Addressed "Dear Martin" to his friend, Dr. Martin Palmer of Anchorage, Alaska. The letter is typed in ink, but signed and with a final line in pencil. One and one-half octavo pages on one octavo leaf of plain paper. Approximately 8 x 5.75 inches. In this letter, Williams begins by relating that he thinks he signed a book to a mutual friend of theirs. However, later in the letter, Williams reveals something darker: "I do not love life, despite my guilty claims that I do. And I don't enjoy it, really. At least I am always more conscious of disappointment than satisfaction during the last ten years. Work falling off and the whole state of being on the down-grade." One vertical crease, ink note at top of letter in another hand. With the original mailing envelope in Williams' hand. A very good letter with incredible content, not usually associated with Williams.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
