Presentation copy with specially signed bookplate by Lewis affixed to front pastedown, with the following statement above his signature: "I am sorry that I am going abroad before there are completed copies of "Elmer Gantry" to inscribe, and I am asking my publishers to send you this copy with my warmest greetings." First printing of book and jacket (on the cloth spine, the "G" of Gantry looks more like a "C") and the price on the front flap ("$2.50") is in the center over the publisher's name and address. Jacket spine toned and edgeworn, some edgewear and some light chipping and a few short tears to jacket panels, some thumbsoiling to jacket, mild rubbing to binding, front endleaves a bit toned and offset, some minor soiling in text near the end. Binding is unusually bright. Generally, a near fine presentation copy.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
