First edition, first printing with the following points met: title frame unbroken on right; "lay," page 86, line 5; smudged "the," page 251, line 3. Octavo. 303 pages. Publisher's mustard cloth over boards, with paper spine label and blind-stamped device on front panel. Top edge stained yellow. Extremities lightly soiled with some bumping to corners. Spine has some wear at both ends. Spine label is toned. Offsetting to endpapers. Overall, a very good copy of the scarce true first.
