Four Inscribed First Editions by Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou. A Collection of Four First editions. New York: Random House, [1975-1983]. First editions. Each is inscribed by Angelou: "Bill Fox / Joy! / Maya Angelou / 4/8/97." Original publisher's bindings and dust jackets. Some light rubbing to jackets (especially at spines), else a fine collection. Titles include: Oh Pray My Wings Are Gonna Fit Me Well, Singin' and Swingin' and Getting' Merry Like Christmas, The Heart of a Woman, and Shaker, Why Don't You Sing? From a private collection in North Carolina.

    More Information:

Octavo. [x], 81, [5, blank] pages. Publisher's gray cloth backstrip over patterned paper boards, spine lettered in black and white, dust jacket. Jacket spine a bit sunned, faint sticker residue on front jacket panel, repaired tear to jacket at headcap, some rubbing to jacket, gutter facing title-page overopened, library inkstamp on copyright page. Despite these flaws, this is a very good copy that shows quite well.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
