    Inscribed by Updike on the front free-endpaper: "for Keith Baker/K for Keith [this is copy "K"]/Best wishes,/John Updike". Octavo. [18], [2, blank] pages. Signed limitation page reckoned within pagination. Publisher's burgundy morocco backstrip over paper boards, printed paper label affixed to front board, marbled endleaves. Some rubbing to spine, else fine. Laid-in is a letter from the publisher stating that they kept eleven copies of this book for themselves to sell, while two went to the Library of Congress, and twelve went to the author (we assume this was one of the copies that went to Updike). Also laid-in is a publisher's prospectus and a printed leaf of acknowledgements. From the collection of Alexander J. Jemal, Jr.
