P.") on the title-page; ordinary paper issue, following 110 top paper copies; inscribed by the author on the half-title page: "A Monsieur Soret / en homage de / JP Sartre." Octavo (7.25 x 4.5 inches; 185 x 115 mm.). 220, [1, contents], [1, blank], [1, printer's note], [1, blank] pages (note: pages 1 and 2 are blank). Near contemporary quarter-morocco over vellum-covered boards, spine lettered gilt, boards ruled in gilt and light grayish blue; top edge gilt; wood grain patterned endpapers; original wrappers (including backstrip) bound in; in matching morocco-tipped slipcase. Backstrip faintly faded; joints lightly stressed; boards very lightly soiled. Slipcase with some light flaking; edges stressed with a touch of wear. Nearly fine. A collection of short stories and an existentialist literature high spot.
