Eight Rare Issues of The Little Review Magazine,
    with Serialized Chapters of

James Joyce. Ulysses. Eight installments appearing in eight issues of The Little Review magazine (out of a total of twenty-three printed installments). New York: The Little Review, 1918-1920. Included are the following issues: June, 1918; February-March, 1919; August, 1919; September, 1919; November, 1919; December, 1919; March, 1920; May-June, 1920. These installments represent a portion of the first serialized appearance of Ulysses, published until forced to cease publication by the Society for the Suppression of Vice. Octavos. Original publisher's printed wraps. Some toning, minor wear, paper a bit brittle, the lower corner on the front wrapper of one issue is loose. Overall, a very good set of a rare and fragile item.
The text from this edition of Ulysses later appeared in the first American edition of Ulysses (Random House, 1934).
