Publisher's brick-red cloth, spine lettered in gilt, Heinemann device stamped in blind on rear board, in original illustrated dust jacket. Covers rubbed, particularly at edges, some soiling and abrasions to front board, backstrip dulled, spine slightly leaning, extremities worn. Light rubbing to jacket, top edge worn with some shallow chips. Very good. Currey, 416. Hammond B15. From the Larry McMurtry Collection of H. G. Wells, with McMurtry's bookplate.
