Inscribed by the author on the FFEP with a quote originally deleted by the censor: "The Scots they are a har-rdy race, they do not wear no breeches". Additionally signed on the rear endpaper by 19 attendees of a dinner at the Ambassador Hotel, Fiesta Room, dated in ink "8-11-32". The signatures include Homer Croy, Walter A. Sinclair, Lee Shippey, Jack Natteford, Gail C. Larkin, and George W. Hoxie. Octavo. Publisher's original maroon cloth lettered and illustrated in black. Former owner's book plate on the front pastedown, else very good.
