Octavo (9.125 x 6.25 inches; 230 x 161 mm.). [xii], 517, [1, blank] pages. Color lithograph frontispiece from a painting by Juan Gris and a selection of photographic illustrations of bullfighting following the text. Publisher's black cloth, front board stamped in gilt, spine lettered and decorated in gilt; in an extensively restored dust jacket. Boards slightly bowed; boards rubbed along lower portion of boards and around joints; spine ends bumped; endpapers toned, with evidence of removed bookplate on front free endpaper; front pastedown replaced, with adhesive visible around hinge. Dust jacket restored with joints and folds reinforced; edges renewed; spine panel and area around front joint colored. A presentable restored copy in an extensively restored dust jacket.
