Octavo (8.75 x 6 inches; 222 x 152 mm.). [ii], 365, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's mulberry paper-covered boards, with phoenix motif stamped in black on the front board, printed paper label on spine. Spine a bit sunned; some thumbsoiling to spine and label; mild edgewear and a few small tears to edges of spine, small tears to joints; some rubbing and thumbsoiling to boards; some bumping to lower corners and upper front joint; mild occasional scuffing to binding. Some light intermittent foxing in text. A contemporary review from the Times Literary Supplement is tipped-in the rear pastedown. Near fine.
