Green cloth with black title panel on spine; front and spine stamped in gilt. Original illustrated dust jacket with author image on back panel. Deckle edges; top stained blue. Very light surface soiling to cloth; minor shelf wear at extremities of binding. Dust jacket somewhat worn at edges, hinges, and flap folds, with some short tears; evidence of repairs and color correction at head and foot of spine. Repairs to reverse of dust jacket, at head and foot of spine panel, and tops of front and rear panels; slight toning, particularly at edges. A few spots of soiling to interior of text block. Near fine book in a good dust jacket. First issue jacket with $6.95 price and "10/57" code on front flap.
