Publisher's smooth blue cloth, spine lettered and tooled in gilt; top edge stained dark blue, bottom edge rough-trimmed; in original dust jacket. Spine just slightly leaning; backstrip faintly dulled; spine ends and corners very lightly worn; bottom corners softly bumped. Top stain lightly faded, just near the spine, with a couple minor scuffs; inner-margins of free endpapers slightly cockled. Dust jacket spine panel tanned with light wear at the edges (worse along the bottom, with a small chip and a tear affecting the "U" of "Windus") and a small (one quarter-inch wide) puncture along the rear fold; minor chipping to the fold edges; flaps very lightly foxed. A near fine copy of an easily worn book. Connolly 75.
