    Hugh MacDiarmid. A Drunk Man Looks at the Thistle. Falkland: Kulgin Duval & Colin H. Hamilton, 1969. Limited edition, limited to 160 numbered copies, of which this is 100, and signed by the author, illustrator, and printer. Octavo. 144, [4] pages. Eight full-page woodcuts by Frans Masereel. One-quarter vellum over patterned paper-covered boards; vellum ruled in gilt; gilt lettering at spine. Top edge trimmed and gilt; others untrimmed. Housed in gray paper-covered slipcase. Mild toning and light shelf wear to binding. Some scuffing and spots of soiling to slipcase. Otherwise, a fine copy of this major modernist long poem. This edition printed in Dante type by hand-press in Verona on handmade L. Amatruda paper from Amalfi and signed by MacDiarmid, Frans Masereel and Giovanni Mardersteig.
