    A Sterling Cup for Drinking Scotch Whiskey Gifted from Harry Crosby to a Friend

    [Harry Crosby]. Small Sterling Silver Quaich Inscribed from Harry Crosby to Charles Hodges. The engraved inscription reads "CHARLES HODGES THE SECOND / FROM / HARRY CROSBY." Maker's mark on the side of the cup reads "M&W" with the symbols of a crown, a lion, and the British sterling to the right of the mark. The bottom of the cup reads "Fabrication / Anglaise / [device] / Mappin & Webb Ltd. / Sheffield & London." A few shallow dents to the bowl. Handles and bowl with scattered spots of tarnish. Overall, a delightful literary artifact from the Lost Generation's Dark Prince.
