[Harpo Marx, bookplate]. Liam O'Flaherty. INSCRIBED. Return of the Brute. London: Mandrake Press, 1929. First edition. Octavo. Inscribed on front free endpaper: "To Susan Fleming/ from/ Liam O'Flaherty". Liam O'Flaherty's dark novel about the First World War with the comically illustrated bookplate of Harpo Marx, designed by Susan Marx (nee Fleming), on its front pastedown: "From the Library of Harpo and Susan Marx." Lacking dust jacket. Binding lightly rubbed, boards slightly warped; faint off-set to endpapers, holograph ink bookseller's price and annotation on front free endpaper. Light page toning. Very good.
