    [Ernest Hemingway, contributor]. [Edward J. O'Brien, editor]. The Best Short Stories of 1923. Boston: Small, Maynard & Company, [1924]. First edition of this short story collection. Hemingway's story, My Old Man, appears on pages 263-276. Publisher's full blue cloth, front board and spine lettered in gilt, dust jacket. Jacket spine toned, jacket worn and chipped, with some soiling and several creased tears, some soiling to jacket verso, minor rubbing to binding. Still, a fine copy in the rare dust jacket. Chemised in slipcase.

    Although Hemingway provides one of his most famous stories, and this volume is dedicated to him, his name is consistently misspelled ("Hemenway") throughout.
