First editions of these rare Contact Editions titles. Together, two octavo volumes. Eaters of Darkness bound in Publisher's marbled wrappers with printed paper label on front cover and spine. Ashe of Rings bound in near contemporary printed paper boards, original wrappers bound-in. Some wear, soiling to both bindings, binding of Ashe of Fire is in rougher condition. Bookplate of John K. Martin on rear inner covers of both titles. Very good to near fine. Eater of Darkness, a bizarre science fiction novel involving a mad scientist with a voyeur ray, is considered the first novel of the DADA surrealist movement; Ashe of Rings is a novel about post-war England with supernatural elements.
