Leslie Charteris. Follow the Saint. London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1938. First edition. Octavo. 283,  pages. Publisher's full light blue cloth, spine lettered in black. Spine slightly skewed; minor shelf and joint wear to binding; some discoloration to cloth, most pronounced at backstrip; a bit of bumping to corners. Normal age toning to edges and interior; some mild brown staining and speckling to edges. Occasional very faint marginal staining scattered throughout. Fairly extensive chipping, soft creasing and tearing to exposed panels of jacket; general light toning and rubbing; some speckles of foxing; small gouge at spine panel. Very good in a good jacket.

Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Minor shelf and joint wear to binding; top spine end just starting to fray; backstrip slightly discolored; boards a somewhat rubbed. Normal age toning to edges of text block; speckles of foxing; top edge a bit darkened. Endpapers unevenly toned, particularly at front where items are laid in; evidence of dog-earing scattered throughout. Light rubbing and toning with a few small spots of soiling to exposed panels of jacket; handful of short tears from top and bottom edges, with largest (approximately 1.5") at bottom of front flap fold. Very good. With signed photograph of Charteris laid in.
