Publisher's full green cloth, front and spine stamped in black. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Spine slightly skewed; mild shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends gently pushed. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block. A few spots of marginal soiling scattered throughout text block; some black spots to front endpapers. Exposed panels of jacket lightly rubbed and soiled; general mild edge and fold wear; a bit of chipping at top end of spine panel with larger chip at upper corner of front panel affecting top part of "M" in "Meet"; archival repair to bottom of spine panel, visible at recto; ends of flap folds slightly softened. Very nearly fine. First appearance of Simon Templar, "The Saint." Uncommon, with only two previous auction records in Rare Book Hub. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone.
