    Lee Friedlander. The American Monument. New York: Eakins, 1976. First Edition. Signed by Lee Friedlander on the front free endpaper. Limited to 2000 copies bound in teal cloth over boards with black lettering on the spine and front cover. No dust jacket as issued. Oblong quarto (12 x 17 inches). The reproductions of the photographs were printed at The Meriden Gravure Company from half-tone negatives made by Richard Benson. The cover and typography were designed by Lance Hidy. The text, set in Monotype Bell, was printed letterpress by Michael and Winifred Bixler. The album was bound by Robert Burlen & Sons. Includes original shipping box. A fine copy.
