Laws and Decrees of Coahuila and Texas, in Spanish and English. To Which is Added the Constitution of Said State: Also The Colonization Law of the State of Tamaulipas, and Naturalization Law of the General Congress. Houston: Telegraph Power Press, 1839. Translated by J. P. Kimball, M.D. 8vo. 353, 6 index, 4 errata pp. Rebound in modern light brown cloth library binding with gilt lettering on spine. Scattered moderate toning, foxing, and light damp stains throughout. A .75" circular stain on the terminal page getting progressively smaller as it descends to and disappears on page 340. 2" x 2" section of bottom right corner of pages 151 through 153 torn and missing affecting a section of text. Title page chipped and tatty along the edges. Former owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. Internally tight and in general, a good copy of this rare work. The personal copy of Robert H. Ward, presumably an Austin lawyer of the period.

A complete listing of 1839 Texas law, including colonization and naturalization laws, offered in Spanish and English on facing pages (Spanish on left; English on right), as well as the full text of the Texas Constitution, also in Spanish and English.
