Inscribed by McMurtry on the front free endpaper: "For Paul/My first little/Book, Written so/long Ago I/Cant remember it-/Larry McMurtry". Octavo. [vi], [183], [3, blank] pages. Publisher's yellow cloth backstrip over black boards, front board and spine stamped in black. Publisher's price-clipped dust jacket. Light rubbing and scuffing to lower portion of spine (affecting publisher's imprint); minor rubbing to tailcap; some faint soiling to endleaves (barely visible near inscription). Bookplate on front pastedown. Dust jacket spine toned; a few tape repairs to verso of jacket at spine; some edgewear, creasing, and a few tears or chips to jacket (one is at the rear joint near the bottom); mild thumbsoiling to jacket.
