Kay Boyle. Landscape for Wyn Henderson. London: 1931. Limited to seventy-five copies, inscribed by Henderson.

    More Information:

Kay Boyle. Landscape for Wyn Henderson. London: Curwen press, 1931. One of only 75 copies ("3"). This copy inscribed by Henderson on the limitation page: "To O.B. from/W.H. Xmas 1932." Small octavo. [8] pages. Self-wrappered. Wrappers toned and somewhat foxed. Some creasing to wrappers and text. Still, a near fine example of a very rare and fragile item (only one other copy has appeared at auction in the last 40 years). Now housed in folding marbled paper chemise. From the collection of Donald Kaufmann.

Wyn Henderson was secretary to Peggy Guggenheim in the 1930's, and was well-connected to the literary and art scene of London at the time.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
