    Viviparous Quadrupeds was a 150 folio-plate undertaking by John James Audubon and his son, John Woodhouse Audubon. The later plates (such as this one) were drawn by Audubon's son, as his health was declining.

    The animal prints in Viviparous Quadrupeds are considered the finest published in America.

    Sheet hinged with archival tape along top edge; light paper discoloration; toning along edges; mat burn along extreme sheet edges; foxing in margins; several notches and small tears along top edge
