    John Turnbull. A Voyage Round the World, in the Years 1800, 1801, 1802, 1803, and 1804; in which the Author visited the principal Islands in the Pacific Ocean, and the English Settlements of Port Jackson and Norfolk Island.... In Three Volumes. London: Printed for Richard Phillips by T. Gillet, 1805.

    One work in three octavo volumes. Uniformly bound in full tree calf with decorative gilt rules. Gilt line and dot pattern on board edges. Rebacked. Gilt stamped leather title labels to spines. New marbled endpapers. Turnbull discovered the Margaret, Phillips, and Holt Islands in the Tuamotu Archipelago. He named Phillips Island after Richard Phillips, the publisher of this book. Very good.

    xx, 238; 237; 204, [4, Phillips catalog] pages. Bindings rubbed, scuffed, and lightly crazed, joints worn but firm; first volume with holograph pencil bookseller's notes on verso of front free endpaper, ink numbers on each title page, few holograph annotations in both pencil and ink, paper loss and repair in outer margin of first volume leaf K5 with negligible affect to text, foxing, soiling, and dampstaining, corner bends and creases; else in very good condition.

    Turnbull discovered the Margaret, Phillips, and Holt Islands in the Tuamotu Archipelago. He named Phillips Island after Richard Phillips, the publisher of this book.
