    Illustrated by Richard Doyle, including engraved title pages and frontispieces.

    First edition. Small octavo. 56 pages. Printed anonymously, with text in ruled borders, and two paged catalog at back. Original pictorial boards, rebacked with a cloth spine. Boards rubbed and scuffed with surface paper loss, soiled and scratched. Ink gift inscription on verso of front free endpaper. Few illustrations partially colored in with crayon

    First American edition. Small quarto. 68 pages. Attributed the work to John Ruskin on title page. Bound in red textured cloth with gilt rustic titles on upper board and spine, gilt illustration on upper board. Cracked hinges.

    Both volumes with all edges gilt. Occasional soiling or staining. Housed together in a custom cloth clamshell book box with gilt lettered leather title label on its spine. Overall very good.
