Publisher's patterned paper-covered boards; top edge stained black, fore-edge untrimmed; in original dust jacket. Very gentle slope to spine; spine ends and extremities just a touch worn. Dust jacket spine panel just lightly shaded, as usual, with faint vertical crease through the center; edges lightly worn with some minor chipping to spine ends; light wear to folds with occasional insignificant color loss; very faint tidemark to fore-edge margin of rear panel; two closed tears (both just under one inch) to upper edge of front panel; verso with several tape mends or reinforcements. Still, an attractive copy of an easily worn book; very good overall. The third Lew Archer novel. From the KoKo Collection.
