Additionally, the recipient, Peter Adams, has inscribed the following on the half-title, beneath the printed title: "is / Peter Adams, / Lieutenant-Commander, U.S.N. / (Hon. Ret. List) / Intelligence Officer O.N.I. / During World War. / (Personal Copy)." Octavo. [iv], [1]-281, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's full yellow cloth, front board and spine stamped in black. In the original publisher's dust jacket. Cloth spine soiled, binding rubbed and lightly soiled. Mild foxing, offsetting to endleaves. Jacket somewhat edgeworn and soiled, with a few short tears, some creased. Very good.
