Illustrated with ten fold-out maps and two illustrated folding frontispieces, a Washington portrait frontispiece, and a vignette. Lacking one plate, "Two Maps of the Southern Provinces." Bound with a calf backstrip and corners over marbled boards. Leather spine labels with gilt titles. New endleaves. Covers and extremities lightly rubbed. Some toning and foxing throughout with occasional lightly folded corners. Maps moderately foxed with some minor reinforcement on verso. Text blocks with a few small stains and light abrasions. Otherwise, a very good set.
