Publisher's gray cloth backed in purple, spine lettered and stamped in gilt; corners just bumped, a few nicks, minor stains, minor toning. Cream colored endpapers, all edges trimmed, top edge stained purple; minor wear, a few scuffs and stains. Internally clean and bright, signed on the title page by John Fowles; a few minor stains. In original pictorial dust jacket; minor stains, a few wrinkles and scratches. Housed in a custom black cloth clamshell, spine lettered and lined in gilt; a few scuffs but near fine. A near fine book in a near fine dust jacket, signed by the author.
