Hand-colored engraved map, approximately 31.75 x 21 inches, tipped into publisher's blind-stamped textured calf, front board lettered and stamped in gilt. Map nearly detached from covers with large closed tear at mount, significant fold seperation, but intact, occasional minor marginal closed tears, paper faintly browned and only just becoming brittle. Good only. Last map of Michigan as a territory before becoming a state in 1837. Karpinski 129, D3.
