Early reprint, first edition not on the copyright page and lacking a publisher's code; presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To Fred Kinsler / Best wishes / John Kennedy." Octavo (8.5 x 5.5 inches; 216 x 140 mm.). [xxii], 266 pages. With eight pages of illustrations inserted at center. Publisher's black cloth backstrip over blue cloth boards, spine stamped in gilt. In the original dust jacket. Backstrip with light wear to spine ends; light edgewear to boards; minor soiling to front board; two small bumps to rear board. Mild offsetting to front endleaves. Dust jacket spine panel somewhat toned and thumbsoiled; light edgewear, spine ends with some light chipping and a few short tears; some scuffing to rear panel; lightly soiled. Overall, a very good copy. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.
