Quarter coated navy-blue cloth and blue cloth boards, spine lettered and ruled in gilt; head and tail of spine pushed and a bit worn, rubbing to joints, corners, and edges of boards, a few stains. Cream-colored endpapers, fore-edge untrimmed, other edges trimmed, inscribed and signed in blue ballpoint ink to front free endpaper; some offsetting from dust jacket to endpapers, foxing nearing inscription but signature clear and strong, some staining to top and bottom edges. Internally clean and bright; a few corners with minor creases. Original printed dust jacket priced $3.50; a few open tears along folds with losses, tear to front panel with approximately 7 mm of loss from the top but not affecting text, repair to top of spine panel extending to back panel, tape residue to front flap and red ink annotations to front flap, somewhat rubbed and worn, minor chips and tears with a few losses. Still, a very good book in a good dust jacket.
Inscribed to the sister of John F. Kennedy campaign aide, Helen Abdouch, executive secretary of the Nebraska Kennedy organization. Mrs. Abdouch was later personal assistant to then-Attorney General, Robert Kennedy.
