Inscription went/something like this, but I'm/paraphrasing:/-"To Herb-/There has been some/sharp critical talk/about the pistol in my Pistol being a["t" crossed out] penis/symbol. But you + I know/pistols are not cocks./ Just as, neither are/holsters cunt symbols,/even fur-lined./Best Jim"/James Jones[signature]/N.Y.C/Oct. 22,1975." Octavo. 158, [2, blank] pages. Publisher's binding, price-clipped dust jacket. Jacket spine a bit browned and worn, light wear to jacket corners, minor rubbing to binding, corners a bit bumped. Very good, with an excellent, off-color inscription.
